In the first quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing market in Nigeria saw varying performance metrics across the top apps on the iOS platform. Here's a breakdown of the trends for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at approximately 13K at the beginning of January and reaching a peak of nearly 11.9K by the end of March. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users remaining around 700K, peaking at over 769K in early March.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from 14.6K in late December and climbing to over 10.5K by the end of March. Weekly active users also showed a healthy upward trend, beginning at 155K and peaking at 171K in early March.

Uber - Request a ride demonstrated a consistent performance with downloads ranging from 2.3K to 4.3K throughout the quarter. The number of weekly active users started at 127K and showed a slight dip to around 109K by the end of March.

Lagride was newly released in early March and saw a significant increase in downloads from just 6 in late February to over 1.7K by mid-March.

LagosRide had a declining trend in weekly downloads, starting at 1.6K and dropping to just 61 by the end of February. However, the app maintained a consistent user base with active users hovering around 9K to 12K throughout the quarter.
